On the morning of May 4, 2025, S\u00e0i G\u00f2n Gi\u1ea3i Ph\u00f3ng (SGGP) Newspaper held a solemn ceremony at Reunification Hall to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its first issue (May 5, 1975 \u2013 May 5, 2025). The event marked half a century of accompanying readers and amplifying the voice of the Party and people of the city named after Uncle Ho.<\/p>\n

The history of SGGP is closely tied to the nation\u2019s most pivotal moments. On April 30, 1975, S\u00e0i G\u00f2n and the South were fully liberated. Just five days later, under the direction of the S\u00e0i G\u00f2n \u2013 Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh Regional Party Committee (now the HCMC Party Committee), the first issue of SGGP was published. It was a large-format daily newspaper that promptly met the urgent need for information during the early days of liberation. More than just a publication, SGGP has been a faithful witness and storyteller of a transformative era.<\/p>\n
